What we watch for on a MDX

• The third row is used by kids and the cargo well behind it collects crumbs and salt; we fold the second row and work from the tailgate
• Parchment leather in a seven-seat family car shows denim, chocolate and sunscreen; a foaming cleaner and soft brush are the only way to do it properly
• Type S cars have Brembo brakes and 21-inch wheels that bake dust into the barrels; an iron remover and a long brush are needed every wash
• The long roof is missed by brush washes; we wash and polish it from a step before sealing
• Older second-generation trucks have chalky clear coat on the roof and hood and yellowed headlights that a correction and restoration fix
