An R1T usually comes to us after a weekend up north with a gear tunnel full of sand and a bed that has carried a canoe. What we watch for on a R1T

• The gear tunnel collects sand, water and whatever camping gear left behind; we open both doors, vacuum and wipe it and dry the seals
• Light Ocean Coast interiors and the open-grain wood show dirt and dye; a vinyl-safe cleaner on the seats and a matte cleaner on the wood
• The powered tonneau cover rails trap grit and leaves; we clean the track so it keeps working
• The glass roof has no shade; a UV protectant on the seats and dash
• Twenty-inch all-terrain wheels and the tall wheel wells pack with mud after a trail; a hand wash with brushes
