What we watch for on a CT5

• The 33-inch curved screen on refreshed cars needs a screen-safe cleaner and a lint-free cloth, never a glass cleaner with ammonia
• Semi-aniline leather on the Blackwing has little protective coating and absorbs dye and oils; we clean it gently and condition it
• Blackwing six-piston Brembo brakes throw heavy dust; an iron remover and soft brush protect the wheel finish
• Open-pore wood trim should be wiped with a damp microfibre only, never a glossy dressing
• The long hood and trunk on dark colours show swirls, so a polish before any protection is worth the time

Luxury cars: soft paint, delicate trim

Premium interiors use more leather, open-pore wood and gloss trim, and premium paint is often softer. We use gentler chemistry, soft microfibre and slower machine passes so nothing is marred.
