We decontaminate the lower body, dissolve the dust out of the barrels and vacuum the wool with a soft brush rather than an extractor. The illuminated grille and the mascot are cleaned with foam and a brush, and the coach door seals get cleaned so the doors shut silently.

What we watch for on a Cullinan

• Most Cullinans in the GTA are driven through winter, so the lower body and the 22-inch wheels carry salt film and brake dust that need decontamination and an iron remover before any polish
• Lambswool carpets in a family SUV collect crumbs and salt; we vacuum them with a soft brush attachment and spot clean, never extract
• The illuminated grille and the retracting Spirit of Ecstasy are cleaned with a soft brush and foam, never pressure washed directly
• Coach doors have wide seals that collect winter grit; we clean the jambs and seals so the doors close silently
• The split tailgate with the optional Viewing Suite seats has a mechanism and leather that must be cleaned by hand with minimal moisture
