Aftercare cleaning once pest control has treated: vacuuming, steam and extraction. We do not treat infestations.
Bed bugs are a stressful thing to deal with, and they do travel by car in bags, coats and gym kit. If you have been dealing with them at home, it is natural to worry about the car.
We want to be very clear about our role. We do not exterminate and we do not treat active infestations. Pest control comes first. Once they have finished, we clean what is left: shed skins, debris, residue, and the general mess a treatment leaves behind.
Many people feel embarrassed about this, and there is no need to be.
That keeps expectations realistic and the work properly sequenced.
If you see live bugs, stop and book a pest control company that handles vehicles. Cleaning before treatment can scatter the problem and it will not solve it. We will ask whether treatment has happened, and we may postpone until it has.
After the treatment window your pest company gives you, we can come in.
Treatments often leave powder, dead insects, shed skins and stained seams. We vacuum with a HEPA unit, work into stitching and seat tracks with a crevice tool, then steam hard surfaces and fabric where suitable.
Hot-water extraction pulls out residue from carpet and cloth seats, and we dispose of what we collect in sealed bags.
We also pull the floor mats and clean underneath, since lint and debris gather there. Mats are vacuumed and washed outside the car. Seat belts are extended and steamed along their length where the material allows.
Seat seams, headrest posts, trunk liners and under floor mats are favourite hiding spots. We clean all of those. We cannot inspect inside door panels or behind trim to confirm the car is bug-free, and we will not tell you it is.
We do not tell anyone, and we do not judge. Bed bugs happen to clean homes, hotels and condos across the GTA. If a neighbour's unit or a hotel stay was the source, you are far from alone, and the clean-up is routine for us.
Bed bugs travel on luggage, jackets and shared items, so a few habits help after treatment. Keep bags off the car floor, wash fabrics hot, and avoid piling clothes on the seats.
A monthly interior clean makes seams and tracks easier to inspect for anything new. Your pest control company can recommend a follow-up check on their schedule. We cannot see inside door panels or under trim, so their advice carries more weight than ours on whether the problem is truly gone.
Typical time: Roughly 2–3.5 hours for a full interior aftercare clean.
