What we watch for on a Continental

• The E-latch door handles sit in the chrome beltline trim and the recess fills with dust and salt; we clean the pocket and the chrome strip with a soft brush
• Thirty-way seats have many seams and adjustable thigh extensions where crumbs hide; a crevice tool and a soft brush reach them
• Black Label Alcantara headliners and Venetian leather need their own products; we never use one all-purpose cleaner across the cabin
• The long hood and trunk lid on dark colours like Chroma Elite Copper and black show swirl marks, so a careful polish before any protection is worth it
• Big chrome grille and 20-inch wheels with fine spokes need an iron remover and a soft brush to get clean without scratching
