What we watch for on a LR4

• The three Alpine roof sunroofs have drains that clog with leaves and cause damp headliners and carpets; we clear them on every exterior detail
• The asymmetric split tailgate has seals and a lower drop-down panel that collect mud and salt; we clean the hinge and seal areas
• Cottage and trail use means mud in the wheel wells and on the underbody; a pressure rinse comes before any body wash
• Clear coat on the large flat hood and roof is often chalky by now and the headlights hazy; a correction and a restoration give the truck years back
• Almond leather in a seven-seat family truck has usually gone grey and creased; a proper cleaner and a matte conditioner restore it
