Stains, odours, scuffs and salt crust dealt with before the lease-end inspection, with an itemized invoice for your records.
A lease ends with an inspection, and the inspection ends with a list. Anything on that list beyond what the leasing company considers normal wear gets billed to you. Some of those items are damage you cannot do much about. A surprising number are simply dirt, stains and smells that look worse than they are.
Auto Royale comes to your driveway or condo garage in the days before the inspection and deals with everything on the cleaning side of that line. We are clear about what detailing fixes and what it does not, so you can decide what else is worth doing before the car goes back.
Most GTA leasing companies send a third-party inspector who walks the car with a checklist and a camera, or has you bring it to the dealership where a used-car manager does the same thing. The interior items on that checklist are where a detail makes the biggest difference.
Interior stains from coffee, food and road salt come out with hot-water extraction and the right chemistry for the fabric. Scuffs on plastic panels are usually transfer marks from shoes and bags, and they clean off; genuine gouges do not. Smoke and pet odours are treated at the source and finished with ozone. Leather gets cleaned and conditioned so it does not read as dried out.
On the outside, a wash, iron decontamination and polish remove the swirls and light scratches that sit in the clear coat, which can take a panel from flagged to passed when the marks are shallow. Hazy headlights get restored, wheels are cleaned of baked-on brake dust, and the engine bay gets a tidy so the car presents as cared for.
We cannot promise how an inspector will score the car, and there are items no amount of cleaning changes. Dents need a paintless dent repair technician. Curb rash on alloy wheels needs a wheel refinisher. Cracked or chipped glass, torn or burned upholstery, worn tires and deep scratches that have gone through the paint are repairs, not cleaning. Cigarette burns in a seat stay burns.
When we see those during the detail we point them out, and for some of them it is cheaper to have a specialist fix the item before the inspection than to pay the leasing company's rate afterward. That is your call to make with the numbers in front of you.
Book the detail for one to three days before the inspection date, and keep the car parked indoors or under cover afterward if you can. Take your own photos of every panel and seat once we are done, with a timestamp, so you have a record of the condition at handover. If the inspector comes to your home, a detail the evening before is ideal, and our hours make that easy.
Send the vehicle, the inspection date, a few photos of the problem areas and whether smoking, pets or kids were part of the car's life. Tell us if you want the itemized invoice, which some people include with the return paperwork to show the car was professionally cleaned rather than handed back dirty.
Typical time: A full inside-and-out lease return detail takes 3–5 hours, with odour treatment, polishing or headlight restoration adding time; book it one to three days before the inspection.
