Car Detailing That Accepts Debit — Interac Tap or PIN Right at Your Car

Debit is the way most people in the GTA pay for everyday things, and it works just as well in your driveway. When we finish your detail, we bring out a card terminal, you tap your debit card or insert it and enter your PIN, and the money comes straight out of your chequing account. No credit card, no transfer to set up, no cash to find.

This page explains how debit works with a mobile service: what happens with tap limits, what to do in an underground garage with no signal, and when debit is the simplest choice over card, cash or e-Transfer.

Tap, or insert and PIN

Small amounts go through with a tap, the same as at a coffee shop. Interac tap has a per-transaction limit set by your bank, and a full detail or a ceramic coating will usually be above it, so for those you insert the card and enter your PIN. Either way the transaction clears immediately and shows up in your banking app before we've packed the hose.

The receipt comes by text or email. If you need an itemized invoice with each service listed, say so and we'll send that as well.

Debit in condo and apartment garages

A lot of our work happens two or three levels underground in Toronto and Mississauga condo garages, where the terminal can't get a signal. It's not a problem, just a small step: we settle up at your building's visitor parking entrance, in the lobby, or at street level, wherever the terminal connects. If you'd rather not come down, you can also pay by e-Transfer from your unit once we text you that the car is done.

When debit is the easiest choice

Debit suits people who don't use credit, or don't want to: students with a chequing account and no card yet, newcomers who haven't built Canadian credit, seniors who prefer to pay from the account they can see, and anyone who's hit their credit limit before the end of the month. It also avoids the daily e-Transfer limit that some banks set low, which can be a nuisance on a larger job like a full inside-and-out on an SUV.

Paying debit for someone else's car

Debit is an in-person payment, so if you're booking for a parent, a partner or a tenant and you'll be there when we finish, you can pay on the terminal as usual. If you won't be, use a credit card link or an Interac e-Transfer instead; both can be done from anywhere. The same applies to gift cards: buy one on debit in person, or by card or e-Transfer from a distance.

When you book, just text that you'll be paying debit. We'll make sure the terminal is charged, and we'll tell you the total before we start so there are no surprises when the card goes in.
