Detailing your Chevrolet Traverse

A Traverse is a family bus with carpet in every corner, and after a season of hockey and road trips it has stories to tell. We fold all three rows and clean the floor under each one, dig out the hidden cargo bin and extract the carpets until the water runs clear. Leather or cloth gets cleaned and conditioned. What we watch for on a Traverse

• The hidden bin under the cargo floor collects wet mitts, forgotten snacks and sand; we empty it and dry it so it does not smell
• Third-row cupholders and the floor beneath the folded seats are where juice boxes and crackers end up; we fold every seat and clean under it
• Captain's chair pedestals and the walkway between them trap salt and crumbs, and the seat tracks need a crevice tool
• First-generation cars are now old enough for cloudy headlights and faded lower cladding, both easy wins
• The wide rear hatch and roof are above head height, so we use a step to wash and wax them properly instead of skipping the roof
