The Canyon is the truck for someone who wanted a Denali interior without a full-size footprint, and the AT4X draws a different crowd that goes looking for mud. We clean both: the leather and stitching on a Denali, the flares and wheel wells on an AT4X, and the rear under-seat bins and tailgate compartment on all of them. The bed gets scrubbed and protected, the cab gets extracted and the paint gets a sealant to shrug off the salt.

What we watch for on a Canyon

• The tailgate storage compartment on 2023 and newer trucks holds water and leaves; we open, rinse and dry it
• AT4X trucks with 33-inch tires and wide flares pack mud behind the flares and in the rear wheel wells; a hand wash with brushes is the only way
• Denali leather with light stitching shows dirt in the seams; a soft brush and leather cleaner lift it
• Crew cab rear under-seat storage fills with sawdust and gravel on work trucks; we remove the gear and vacuum the bins
• Second-generation trucks are old enough for hazy headlights and faded cladding that restore well

Pickups: work on the outside, family on the inside

Trucks get the roughest outside treatment and a surprisingly family-sized inside. We deal with bed rails, step bars, tar and tailgate grime on the outside, and crew-cab rear seats and floor liners on the inside.
