The VF 9 is a large electric three-row that a few GTA families chose for its space, and it has a lot of light upholstery for kids to leave marks on. We extend the leg rests on the captain's chairs and clean beneath them, fold the third row and clean the floor, lift the marks from the vegan leather and clean the glass roof with the shade open. Outside, the flush handles get cleaned out and the paint gets a polish and a sealant for winter.

What we watch for on a VF 9

• Captain's chairs with power leg rests have mechanisms and seams that collect crumbs; we extend them and clean beneath
• Light tan vegan leather in a family SUV shows boot marks and dye; a vinyl-safe cleaner and a protectant
• Third-row cupholders and the floor under the folded seats collect snacks; we fold the seats and clean under them
• The glass roof films over; we clean it with the shade open and protect the cabin from UV
• Flush door handles and the long light bar collect salt; we clean the recesses
