The Equus was Hyundai's flagship before Genesis existed, and the few left in the GTA are usually either chauffeur cars with worn rear seats or well-kept personal cars with soft paint that shows every swirl. We condition the leather, clean the deep gaps around the reclining rear seats, and brush the suede headliner dry if the car has one. The acres of chrome get a metal polish, and a careful one-step correction brings back the gloss.

What we watch for on a Equus

• The suede headliner on some cars is brushed dry and never sprayed
• The reclining rear seats and their console hide crumbs and dust in deep gaps that need a crevice tool
• Chrome trim around the windows and grille holds water spots and needs a metal polish
• Aging leather is usually dry and shiny and responds to a cleaner and conditioner
• Soft paint on these shows swirls readily, so a careful one-step polish is worth it

Premium interiors use more leather, open-pore wood and gloss trim, and premium paint is often softer. We use gentler chemistry, soft microfibre and slower machine passes so nothing is marred.
