General clean-up after illness, nosebleeds and accidents, with an honest explanation of what sanitizing can and cannot do.
Sometimes the mess does not fit a neat label. A passenger who was ill, a mix of fluids after a minor accident, or a car that someone slept in while unwell. This page covers those everyday situations.
Our approach is practical: protective gear, careful removal, cleaning of the surfaces involved, then sanitizing the touchpoints. We are a mobile detailing company, not a medical or biohazard service, and we say so up front.
Plain information up front helps people decide, so this page covers what we do and where our limits are.
Nothing here is a reason for embarrassment, and we never ask for details you do not want to give.
Sanitizing here means cleaning first, then using steam and a disinfectant product on the hard surfaces people touch: door handles, belts, buckles, console buttons and the steering wheel. Dirt has to be removed before any product can do its job.
We do not claim a car is sterile or sterile in a clinical sense. We do greatly reduce what is left behind and leave you with a clean, dry cabin.
We put on gloves and masks, remove visible material, and bag contaminated cloths for disposal. Then the affected seat or carpet gets enzyme cleaner and hot-water extraction, and hard surfaces are wiped or steamed.
Finally we sanitize touchpoints and ventilate the cabin. If odour persists, an ozone pass can help while the car is empty.
Ventilation is part of the job. After sanitizing, we open the doors and let the cabin air out, and we recommend running the fan on fresh air rather than recirculate for your first drive. A cabin air filter that is old and dusty can hold odour, so replacing it is worth considering.
Leather and vinyl wipe clean but seams hold liquid. Fabric seats absorb it. Seat tracks and belt buckles collect residue, so we check both and clean them where we can reach.
We do not take on sewage, sharps or needles, human remains, or large-scale contamination. These need a specialist with proper training and equipment, and we will point you in that direction. If anyone is injured, call emergency services before anything else.
Shared cars see more of these incidents: a company van used by several drivers, a taxi, a family vehicle with kids, an elderly relative's car. In each case the cleaning steps are similar, but the paperwork may not be.
We provide an itemized invoice on request, which suits fleet managers and rideshare drivers. For a business with several vehicles, we can schedule them in one visit at the yard or office lot.
Typical time: Normally 1.5–3 hours, depending on what happened and where.
