Child, pet or passenger urine treated at the source with enzyme cleaner and hot-water extraction, not covered with fragrance.
Urine is a different problem from most spills. It looks small on the surface, but it travels down through fabric into foam and carpet pad, and the smell comes from dried crystals that wake up whenever humidity rises.
That is why air fresheners and baking soda rarely finish the job. We find where the liquid went, break down what is left, and pull it out. We work at your home, condo garage or office, so you do not drive around with a smell in a closed car.
We keep the process discreet, and a text with a photo of the area is enough for us to plan the visit.
Dried urine leaves salts and uric acid that bond to fibre. On a hot July afternoon or after a damp Lake Ontario week, they rehydrate and the smell returns even though the seat looks clean.
Regular cleaners dissolve only part of this. Enzyme products are made to break the compounds down, which is why we use them first and fragrance last.
We check the whole area, because the stain on top is often smaller than the damp patch below. A UV light helps spot dried marks in a dim garage. Then we saturate the area with enzyme cleaner so it reaches the same depth the urine did.
After a dwell period we run hot-water extraction repeatedly, rinsing until the water comes out clear. Heavy fabric seats get extra passes; leather needs gentler cleaning, with attention to seams where liquid sneaks in.
If urine has soaked into the cushion foam or the pad beneath the carpet, extraction helps but may not reach everything. We say so up front.
Options then include repeating the treatment, ozone to greatly reduce lingering odour, or having an upholsterer or body shop replace the affected foam. We will not promise a result we cannot see.
Child accidents usually land on the car seat and the seat beneath it. Pet accidents often hit the cargo area or rear bench. For rideshare drivers, we can provide an itemized invoice to include with a cleaning-fee claim.
Treatment is usually finished in one visit, but drying decides when the car smells right. Fabric seats can feel damp for several hours, and in a cold garage in January it may be overnight. We leave the car with the cabin ventilated and explain what to expect.
If you still notice a faint smell the next humid day, tell us. Sometimes a second pass on the one stubborn spot is all it needs, and that is a normal part of working with urine rather than a sign anything went wrong.
Typical time: About 2–3 hours, plus drying time that varies with the weather and the seat.
