Clean-up after pest control: droppings, egg cases, food residue and grime removed from interior surfaces.
Cockroaches turn up in cars that have food crumbs, spilled pop, or have been parked near an infested building. Delivery drivers and anyone who eats on the road see it more often than they would like.
We do not exterminate. If you have active roaches, a pest control company needs to treat the car first. Our job is the clean-up that follows: removing what they left, and the food and moisture that attracted them.
Cars are small spaces, and clean-up is quicker than people fear.
The work is simple, methodical and private, and most cars are back in order in one visit.
Droppings look like pepper or coffee grounds and collect along door seals, under seats and around the glove box. Egg cases, shed skins and greasy smears also build up near warm spots such as the dash and centre console.
Dead insects and residue from treatment end up in vents, cup holders and seat tracks. That is the part that bothers most people, and the part we deal with.
We start with a HEPA vacuum on seats, seams, carpet, vents and the trunk. Then we steam and wipe hard surfaces, extract carpet and fabric, and clean door jambs and cup holders where residue collects.
Drivers often have food buried in the seat gaps. Removing the food source is the most useful long-term step.
Sticky spots are the clue to where they were feeding. Dried pop, juice and syrup under the cup holder lid or in the door pocket get steamed and wiped until the surface is no longer tacky, which removes the draw for anything that follows.
If we clean before pest control, we are only moving the problem. If we clean long after, droppings have often stained the plastic. We schedule around your pest company so each step does its job.
Keep food out of the car, take out trash weekly, and park away from known problem buildings. A monthly maintenance detail helps catch crumbs early.
Roach problems sometimes arrive with a used car, a rental, or a vehicle shared with a household that has an infestation. If you buy used and suspect this, ask the seller about it and have the car inspected before cleaning.
We can then do a deep interior clean once pest control has dealt with the problem. We skip the engine bay unless needed, because the places that need attention are mostly inside the cabin and trunk.
Typical time: Typically 2–3.5 hours for a full interior clean-up.
