Detailing your Dodge Challenger

Challengers in the GTA are mostly summer cars, and the Brampton connection means a lot of owners feel personally attached to them. They come out of storage in April needing dust cleared, a light correction and a coat of protection, and we do that in the driveway before the first cruise night. Alcantara and leather get the right cleaners, the big brakes get an iron remover and the heritage colours get polished until they look like the brochure. A ceramic coating keeps it that way.

What we watch for on a Challenger

• Heritage colours like Sublime green and Go Mango are bright and show water spots; dark colours show swirls; a polish before a sealant or coating is standard
• Brembo brakes on Scat Pack and Hellcat cars cake the wheels with dust; iron remover and a soft brush keep the finish
• Alcantara inserts and the Alcantara wheel on performance models need dry brushing and a dedicated cleaner
• The long doors have wide sills that scuff and collect salt; we clean the jambs and sills
• Most Challengers are stored in winter; a spring detail with an air-out and light correction is the usual request
