Detailing your Cadillac Vistiq

The Vistiq is a new three-row electric Cadillac and the first ones in the GTA are family cars with a lot of leather, a glass roof and a wide screen. We fold every row and extract the floors, clean the leather with products that respect the semi-aniline on Platinum cars, and keep the wood matte. The screen gets the electronics treatment. Outside the flush handles get cleaned out and the paint gets a sealant or ceramic coating, all done beside your charger.

What we watch for on a Vistiq

• Third-row seats and their cupholders see family use; we fold them and clean the floor beneath
• The glass roof has no shade on most trims, so the leather gets UV; a protectant on the seats and dash
• The 33-inch screen shows dust and fingerprints and needs a screen-safe cleaner
• Open-pore wood stays matte; a damp microfibre and no glossy dressing
• Flush door handles and the painted front fascia collect salt and chips; we clean the recesses and seal the paint
