Detailing your Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The C-Class is everywhere in the GTA, from Yorkville garages to Mississauga driveways, and most owners are on a lease that will be inspected. We clean the wheel barrels, fix what we can on scuffed sills and get the salt rings out of the rear carpets. The paint takes a light polish well, the pitted chrome gets polished and sealed, and the open-pore wood inside is cleaned with nothing more than a damp cloth.

What we watch for on a C-Class

• This is the most common Mercedes on GTA roads, and lease returns are a big part of our work on it: wheel rash, sill scuffs and rear carpet stains
• Open-pore wood trim on higher trims must never get a glossy dressing; a damp microfibre and a dry buff is all it needs
• Polar White cars show rust-coloured iron specks from the 401 and black tar on the rear bumper; a decontamination wash makes a dramatic difference before polishing
• Chrome trim around the windows pits from road salt; we polish it and apply a sealant to slow it down
• Cabriolet models have a fabric roof and an Aircap wind deflector; the fabric gets a dedicated cleaner and water repellent, and the deflector mechanism is cleaned dry

Luxury cars: soft paint, delicate trim

Premium interiors use more leather, open-pore wood and gloss trim, and premium paint is often softer. We use gentler chemistry, soft microfibre and slower machine passes so nothing is marred.
