Detailing built around how EV owners actually live: charging in the driveway, glass roofs, vegan leather, cameras and sensors kept clear.
If you drive an electric car in the GTA, your routine looks different from the gas-car owner next door. Your car spends its nights plugged in on the driveway or in a condo garage, you plan longer trips around chargers along the 401, and you probably care more than most about keeping the cabin, cameras and glass in good shape because you intend to keep the car a long time.
Auto Royale is a mobile detailer, so we work where your EV already lives. We bring our own water and power, we never need your charger outlet, and we can clean the car while it charges overnight or while you work from home. This page is about the decisions EV owners face; if you want the step-by-step of how we handle vegan leather, glass roofs and charge ports, see our EV detailing service page.
Most EV owners we visit in Markham, Vaughan and Mississauga charge on a Level 2 wall unit in the driveway or garage. Leave the car plugged in if you like. We route the cable away from the work area, keep hoses and extension cords clear of the charge port, and never spray water directly at an open port door.
In a condo with a shared charger, let us know how long you can hold the spot. We can start on the interior while the car is charging and finish the exterior once you move it to your own stall, or do everything in your stall using rinseless methods if the building has no drain.
Regenerative braking means far less brake dust on the wheels, but it does not stop iron fallout from the road, and the extra weight of a battery pack is hard on tires and wheel faces. Expect the fronts to need decontamination even when the rims look clean from a distance.
Light interiors are the other recurring issue. White or grey vegan leather on a Model 3 or Model Y picks up blue dye transfer from jeans within a few months, and it needs regular cleaning rather than one heroic rescue a year. Panoramic glass roofs collect water spots from sprinklers and hard tap water; the earlier they are polished off, the less chance they etch.
EV paint, especially on Teslas, tends to be thin and soft, so it swirls easily in automatic car washes. The decision most owners face is between a sealant every few months and a ceramic coating done once. If you lease and return the car in three years, a sealant is usually enough. If you bought it and intend to hold it through the battery warranty period, a coating pays off in easier washes and fewer correction sessions.
Inside, a protectant on vegan leather and matte dash plastics makes future wipe-downs quicker without adding shine. We keep screens strictly to a damp microfibre and a dry buff; no sprays near the touchscreen.
A short message is all we need. Include the make and model, the interior colour and whether it is fabric or vegan leather, whether the car has a glass roof, and where it will be parked. If the car will be charging, say so, and tell us whether we can park our van beside it. Pick any hour that suits you; we are open 24/7, and an overnight charging session is a natural fit for a late-evening interior clean.
Typical time: An interior or exterior detail takes 1.5–3 hours; a full inside-and-out EV detail takes 3–5 hours, which fits inside an overnight charge.
